The Sum Of All Emotions

Ever wondered what the sum of all emotions could be? What happens when a person experiences, in a relatively short time span, feelings of extreme happiness, fear, anticipation, tension, despair, hope, grief, power, hatred, success, failure, love, regret, resent and fortitude? Have people felt these feelings, one, many or all at a time? Sounds crazy but Im sure a few people have. When sober that too!

Do you run away from all that you feel, to salvage your seemingly low emotional threshold, or Do you subconsciously resolve to enjoy every moment of it, cos you know that few other things in your life will compare to the chaos that the 'Sum of all Emotions' has caused, and does that in itself make you a stronger human being?

It is usually at a time like this that the many characters in one's personality meet - the optimist meets the pessimist, the loser meets the champion, the soldier meets the wimp, the sinner meets the saint, the dreamer meets the realist, the chap who doesnt love someone anymore meets the bloke who isnt liked by someone else anymore.

And the emotions even out.

And out walks a person who is at complete peace with his/her self.

And a resolve is formed.

To value life, to manage time, to calculate decisions, to treasure friendships, to repair mistakes, to sustain ambition, to trust instinct, to preserve ego and .. to be a good human being.

If you have been lucky enough to experience this, you will most certainly agree with me when I say that Peace is the Sum of all Emotions. If you haven't, I wish you such an experience.

The past 3 months, I have most certainly experienced the sum of all emotions. It has had the greatest consequence in my life.

I've never said anything that I haven't meant.

I want to thank with all that I have, people who've meant so much to me, the past months and the past weeks. In their own unique ways : Sam, Archy, Chatur, Dhruv, Niharika, Nayantara, Dash, Sneha, Vinay, Adrienne, Kartik, Kirtana, Sheriff, Snoop, Abhi Mehta, Samir 'Yakub', Sharjeel, Sid P, Tori, Ripun, Kishore, Aditi 'Rasqueenha', Albert, Luis, Andy and of course, The Crew.

Just know that in me, you all have a friend for life.

  • Excellent post. and very well worded.

Sometimes the sum of all emotions can also equal to Clinical Depression!

Which in turn brings on the Blanket of Denial.

    Im just saying.

    Just like that.

  • Beautifully written. Very insightful. I feel that a test of such emotions is a true test of life.Especially when it happens at such a young age.It teaches you ao much abt yourself that you would have never known or that you didnt feel existed. Whether you have it in you gather yourself and come thru is completely upto you. However one must remember that people around who know you well and who mean well for you will should be consulted. not bcos you are too weak to manage it on your own but bcos you can share, learn and live their experiences too
